Finally Day 2

What can I say?! I've totally abandoned my writing and had turned to baking but during few moments of clarity, I realize that it would be totally amazing to document my travels and write down all the awesome and not so awesome places I have visited.
Speaking of not to awesome, the very first thing on our agenda in Newport was a scenic train ride. I've always wanted to go on one and on one we went... Boooring!!!
We then headed to Fort Adams which was I guess somewhat cool, not worth the trip but an intersting detour. The coolest thing about Fort Adams is that right from it you can continue on to the coolest drive ever along the ocean? lake? body of water!
Pass the sign for Brenton Point State Park and continue on the windy road. You won't be sorry. Make sure you got cool song on the radio, your shades and don't look back.
On our drive we stumbled upon Castle Hill Inn and lighthouse http://www.lighthouse.cc/castlehill/index.html, which is a MUST SEE !
After you marvel at the amazing views and are feeling super romantic, stop by the Newport winery and grab me a bottle of their newport white wine... I assume it would help if I knew the name but when you do their tasting, trust me you'll know which one to buy. We even went back but more on that later...
When you are nice and tipsy you may go eat at http://www.barkingcrab.com/ ... BEST SEAFOOD !!! Enough said :)
Because no trip is complete without an abandaned haunted ruins, we somehow have stumbled upon this: I dont know what its called or where exactly on our drive we spotted, I only know that it looks like this -

Another stop on your drive would be the Beavertail Lighthouse, I was there in crazy winter with insane winds and after all that I am still in love with it!!!

NYC in 72 hours

Hey! Long time no... read?! If you are anything like me and have either traveled to other countries or went on an organized trip, or lived somewhere else or just know people in other places, every now and then (for those of you who have not heard yet Now and Then is now available on Netflix which if you have once been a tween girl, is literally the top 3 best news you can ever receive) you might have some out of town visitors, I know I have!! Ever since I was in my teens someone whether it be a relative, a friend, friends with their new spouse or an ex-bf of mine at some point all have spent a weekend (or longer) in NYC while I frantically looked for cool things to do. I usually stick to a the same itinerary every single time but eventually it gets old and I have to update the weekend plans. So to make your life easier here goes 4 days in NY exploring parts of Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Manhattan. My friend was in NY for the first time (I know! It's NY! I could not believe the

Labor Day getaway 2012: Hudson Valley and Thousand Islands

Happy Summer! Hopefully you keeping yourself cool with AC & tons of ice cream this weekend as the temps climb into what feels 116. I feel another really long post coming up so I'll get straight to it. First few interesting facts about this post: - This trip took place before Google maps app existed - All photos taken with Nikon CoolPix - All photos are unfiltered Real copy of Google Maps printed out I was recently talking to a friend of mine (who btw has the cutest 6 months old baby boy ever!) who was looking for an overnight getaway. Of course right away I started texting her thousand of ideas I have and then remembered a trip I took to Hudson Valley. I absolutely love love love Hudson Valley, it's just close enough to the city but far enough to count as a getaway. Thinking back I've visited Hudson Valley multiple times but this particular one came to mind. All I could remember at that moment was The Walkway over Hudson but as I dug through my old emails, p

Exploring the South: Charleston, SC

Happy almost August! So this is a very exciting blog entry for me and I hope for you too! For one, it was a trip I took back in March with LB who has now been gone almost 60 days & I miss her dearly but in the last 3 hours over 137 texts we have made plans for another 4-5 trips next year so not everything is awful (Hang around to find out if any of them will actually take place). Second, this was the beginning of my "blogging/instagram/I like to travel/take photos and write" so I am very excited to share the details of this trip with you. I had also previously written this as an itinerary so I think to mix things up, I will leave it as such and just insert my commentary every now and then... Here it goes: Arrive in CHS ( I love Jetblue, what's your airline of choice? We arrived at 8:43 am because who does not love 7 am flights?) Upon arrival we headed to Holiday Inn Charleston-Riverview. We were there during renovation but honestly it did not bother us much,
